The only downside is poor comms from the company about the status of the printing - I've found it virtually impossible to get them to confirm that they have printed and dispatched my cards: even directly emailing them, their responses have been evasive and not customer-friendly so when my prepaid balance is spent, I'll be looking for a similar online service elsewhere.

73 Gary ZL2iFBGaryhttp://www.g4ifb.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13998996.post-13141859883689147802012-06-03T10:56:39.327-04:002012-06-03T10:56:39.327-04:00Dave,

Yeah, they are a little cheesy, but unique!

73,

Casey, TI2/NA7UCasey Bahrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01638230726171327005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13998996.post-16101468470703163402012-06-01T06:41:44.220-04:002012-06-01T06:41:44.220-04:00I hear what your saying David, I had ordered some ...I hear what your saying David, I had ordered some cards way back and I still have them...wrong address (as we have moved) and all. So for me I am leaning towards home grown cards....not moving anytime soon but it's nice to customize them.
Have a good weekend.VE9KK https://www.blogger.com/profile/04720839744779758420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13998996.post-50941640358594005912012-05-31T09:42:23.835-04:002012-05-31T09:42:23.835-04:00For any reasonably large number of cards, I'm ...For any reasonably large number of cards, I'm pretty sure that getting them commercially printed is significantly cheaper than printing them yourself. The problem is that even if the per-card cost is high for self-printing small numbers of cards, typically the minimum order from a commercial order will wind costing you more overall. In other words, let's pretend that it costs you $0.50 to print your own card and $0.20 to have them commercially printed. (I'm just making this numbers up.) If you need 20 cards, it's $10 to do them yourself, and only $4 commercially, but if the minimum commercial order is 100 cards, that's $20 so you're spending more overall. Obviously, you'd need to plug in real numbers to see where the breakeven point is. I do have my home QSL cards printed commercially (and actually it's just about time to get a new batch printed.)David, K2DBKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01368040445069901890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13998996.post-21704227164189049462012-05-31T06:05:19.644-04:002012-05-31T06:05:19.644-04:00Good morning Dave, very nice card and it's a g...Good morning Dave, very nice card and it's a great idea to print your own. I have thought about the same thing up this way as well. When only printing a small amount for your trips it makes sence. As for larger prints Im not sure and have not really looked into whether home printing or commercial is cheaper.VE9KK https://www.blogger.com/profile/04720839744779758420noreply@blogger.com
